160 years of changing global emissions
The Climate Analysis Indicators Tool (CAIT 2.0), developed and maintained by the World Resources Institute, provides a comprehensive and comparable database of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data and other climate-relevant indicators. The international data collection covers more than 160 years, offering carbon dioxide emissions data from 1850-2011, energy carbon dioxide emissions data from 1971-2011 and a full multi-sector greenhouse gas emission inventory from 1990-2011.
