Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding pollution in river Yamuna, 10/06/2015
Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Manoj Mishra Vs. Union of India & Others dated 10/06/2015 regarding pollution in river Yamuna.
The Tribunal in its order noted that there was an agreement signed between the States of Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, UP, Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh with regard to the maintenance of minimum flow in river Yamuna. The analysis of the silt removed from the drains of Delhi, prepared by the DPCC has been produced before the Tribunal. This report is shocking, it shows Heavy Metals beyond the tolerance limits.
