Solid Waste Management Rules, 2015
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has published the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2015. These rules shall apply to every urban local body, all statutory towns, outgrowths in urban agglomerations as declared by the registrar general & census commissioner of India, notified areas/notified industrial townships, notified area committees, area under Indian railways, defense cantonments, special economic zones in the country and every waste generator.
