Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding growing air pollution in Delhi, 24/08/2015
Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Vardhaman Kaushik & Ors Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 24/08/2015 regarding growing air pollution in Delhi.
The Managing Director, DTC has assured the Tribunal that he will initiate a data based study to rationalise plying of DTC Buses and to ensure that they cause least congestion on the road and help keep the air and noise pollution under control. He further submits that he would take personal interest to ensure that maintenance work of DTC is carried on or the contractors to whom work is assigned shall carry on in its true spirit and all the buses shall be well maintained.
