Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Mohd. Ishatiaque E. Baghban Vs. Police Commissioner, Greater Mumbai & Ors. dated 01/02/2016 regarding noise pollution in Mumbai.
Order dated 29th September, 2015 disposing of Application No.92/2014 required the preparation and publication of the maps showing Silence Zone within the limits of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) within four months time. Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai which is under obligation to prepare and publish the maps has moved this Application for grant of three more months’ time for discharging its obligations fully.
