Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Kantha Vibhag Yuva Koli Samaj Parivartan Trust & Others Vs State of Gujarat & Others dated 07/03/2016 regarding urban waste management, Surat, Gujarat. The main allegations against the the Respondents are dereliction in duty, non-performance of statutory duties in the matter relating to the Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSW) Rules, 2000.
NGT directs the Commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has been directed to submit detail statement about extent of waste collected.
