Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pavit Singh Vs. The State of NCT of Delhi & Ors dated 26/04/2016. This application has been filed by the applicant who is a resident of Chandan Colony, Saidullajab, IGNOU Road, New Delhi, a social activist as well as RTI activist praying for a direction against respondents to demolish/remove the encroachments from the ridge land and the unauthorised construction on the land falling in khasra no. 687/570, IGNOU Road, adjacent to Harijan Basti, Neb Sarai, New Delhi-110068 and the lands adjacent to various streets of Harijan Basti area, Neb Sarai, New Delhi, which belong to the Department of Forest and Wildlife, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
The Counsel appearing on behalf of the Applicant submits that Authorities are not serious about the execution of the order dated 11th November, 2014 passed in Original Application No. 10 of 2014 requiring them to do complete barricading of the entire forest area notified, vide notification F1(29) PA DC/95 dated 02nd April, 1996 of the revenue Department which includes not only the Khasra No. 687/570 of Maidan Garhi admeasuring 198.12 hectares, but also other areas as indicated in the Notification.
