Cities in Motion Index 2016
Four Indian cities – Delhi, Mumbai Bangalure and Kolkata at the bottom of a global liveability survey of 181 cities prepared jointly by the Barcelona-based University of Navarrara’s IESE Business School and the Centre for Globalisation and Strategy. Mumbai was ranked at 167 followed by New Delhi (174), Bengaluru (176) and Kolkata (179).
The third edition of the Cities in Motion Index (CIMI) evaluates cities' level of development in relation to 10 key areas or dimensions: governance, urban planning, public management, technology, the environment, international outreach, social cohesion, mobility and transportation, human capital and the economy. The CIMI 2016 edition includes 181 cities, including 72 capitals, representing more than 80 countries.
