Question raised in Lok Sabha on Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP), 21/07/2016. No new project has been included under AIBP during current financial year. Ninety Nine (99) projects out of 149 ongoing AIBP projects have been prioritized in consultation with States, for completion up to December, 2019. Out of these priority projects 23 projects are planned for completion by March, 2017. Details of these 99 Projects as intimated by State Government are at Annex-I. Under AIBP, 143 projects have been completed out of 297 sanctioned projects. Five projects were foreclosed and 149 Projects are ongoing in the various states. Details are given at Annex-II.
