Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding rising air pollution in Delhi, 18/10/2016
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahendra Pandey Vs. Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Ors. dated 18/10/2016 regarding rising air pollution in Delhi. Dr. M. P. George, Scientist D DPCC while referring to the report dated 17th August, 2016 that has been placed on record, has stated that the data collected shows that during the period of implementation of odd-even vehicle programme there was hardly any improvement in the ambient air quality of NCT of Delhi.
Counsel appearing for the Central Pollution Control Board upon instructions from Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Scientist, submits that their monitoring have also demonstrated that there has been no improvement in the ambient air quality during the periods when odd-even was enforced in NCT of Delhi.
