RegionsAdapt 2016 report: an assessment of risks and actions
The Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development publishes the "Regions Adapt 2016" report. The report, developed with the collaboration of the Carbon Disclosure Project, contains an assessment of the risks arising from climate change and the adaptation actions that the 27 states and regions that make up this platform commit to develop. The Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya together with Rio de Janeiro promoted the creation of the RegionsAdapt platform on the occasion of the COP21 in Paris and brings together 27 regions from several countries representing more than 150 million people. The "Regions Adapt 2016: A Risk and Action Assessment" report is the first technical document to indicate the levels of ambition and the degree of compliance with the strategies and adaptation plans of the regions participating in this platform. Governments have monitored the physical, resource and socio-economic risks of climate change, as well as the development of adaptation actions to which they are committed to address it.
