Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding municipal solid waste management in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, 20/04/2017
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Samajik Parivartan Sewa Samiti Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 20/04/2017 regarding municipal solid waste management in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. With regard to implementation of MSW Rules, 2016 in the Ghaziabad Area, the Commissioner of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam submits that it was resolved that the Ghaziabad Development Authority will identify suitable land in one patch sufficient for establishment of MSW management plant.
NGT directs the Commissioner of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam to submit a statement as to what steps Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam has taken for implementation of MSW Management rules in its territory and also as to what are the stages of its various projects.
