Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pramod Kumar Tyagi Vs. Art of Living International Center & Others dated 21/07/2017 regarding damage to Yamuna flood plains during the holding of the three day Art of Living event in Delhi.
NGT directs the Delhi Development Authority to nominate a very senior officer as a Member of the Committee which shall constitute of the Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, NCT of Delhi and Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department, Uttar Pradesh. This Committee shall submit an Action Plan to the Tribunal with reference to the flood plains of river Yamuna where the event was held in March, 2016. This Committee shall prepare the action plan keeping in view the report of the Expert Committee appointed by the Tribunal within one week.
