Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s. Mehdad & Others Vs. Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change & Others dated 10/08/2017 regarding high tide line demarcation in relation to coastal area for the entire country.

Counsel appearing for Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change states that the security clearance with regard to Western Coastal Areas would be received by the Ministry by 10th September, 2017. NGT directs that the security clearance must be submitted to Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change by 10th September, 2017 and the State Governments of Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Kerala who have already been provided with the high tide line in relation to their coastal areas must prepare their Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) without any delay now and submit the same to Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for finalization.
