Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding felling of trees by Delhi Cantonment Board, 22/08/2017
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Karan Singh Tanwar Vs. Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 22/08/2017 regarding felling of trees by Delhi Cantonment Board. Amicus Curiae submits that more than 3500 saplings have been planted in the Cantonment area. The officers concerned of the Cantonment Board shall ensure that all these plants are looked after well, atleast for a period of 5 years and there are no tree casualties. The Cantonment Board shall not fell any trees except after obtaining permission from the concerned competent authority and thereafter, leave of the Tribunal.
