Judgement of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Sampurna Behura Vs Union of Union of India & Others dated 09/02/2018 regarding non-implementation or tardy implementation of laws beneficial to children, particularly, the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

Supreme Court asks National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) to prepare a report to assist policy making and decision making authorities to plan out their affairs relating to Juvenile Justice Act 2015. The Apex Court also requests the Chief Justice of each High Court to seriously consider establishing child friendly courts and vulnerable witness courts in each district.
