Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 23/04/2018 regarding sale of good quality coal in the garb of rejects to M/S Hindalco. This is an application filed as a result of an Inquiry Report of the CEC dated 11th May, 2005. The report of the CEC concerns sale of good quality coal in the garb of rejects to M/s. Hindalco. Orders were passed by this Court on 6th November, 2009 requiring an inquiry to be made at the highest level in the Ministry of Home Affairs. As a result of the orders passed by this Court on 6th November, 2009, a report of the Union Home Secretary has been filed. A copy each of this report has been given to learned Additional Solicitor General and to learned amicus curiae.
