Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 28/11/208 regarding stickers for vehicles running on different fuels.
It has come to the notice of the Supreme Court that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways after framing the draft rules for putting colour hologram-based stickers on vehicles had forwarded the Rules to the Ministry of Law. EPCA was unable to take action as the matter was pending with the Ministry of Law. Additional Solicitor General has informed the Court that "he will find out why the matter has remained pending with the Ministry of Law for more than three months."
