Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M/S. Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd. Vs S. Joel & Others dated 28/01/2019 regarding supply of water to industries from Srivaikuntam anaicut, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
Supreme Court directs TWAD Board to submit proper data clearly bifurcating the extent of water required for (i) drinking; (iii) irrigation; and (iii) industrial use separately. The data shall cover the anticipated requirements for the period from 1st February, 2019 to 30 June 2019.
