Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Joyanto Banerjee Vs State of Jharkhand dated 31/01/2019 regarding illegal sand mining in District Paschim Burdwan in the State of West Bengal.
The District Magistrate, Burdwan alongwith representatives from the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) and the District Environment Impact Assessment Authority (DEIAA) were ordered to look into the matter and they have submitted a report before the Tribunal.
NGT orders for one more report of surprise visit to be furnished by the District Magistrate, Paschim Burdwan after gap of time.
