Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding illegal operation of a concrete mixer plant, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, 09/10/2019
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Yogesh Kumar & Others Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 09/10/2019 regarding illegal operation of a concrete mixer plant on a plot of land situated between GH-01A and GH 01B, Sector - 74, Noida. An action taken report was sought from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) and the District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar.
The report confirmed that the hot mix plant was operating illegally and action has been taken to dismantle it to a substantial extent. One of the applicant has appraised the Tribunal that the encroachment has not been fully removed and produced photographs in support of the statement. The UPPCB has been asked to taken the requisite action that would help in restoring the damage to the environment including recovery of "realistic cost of restoration".
