Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding illegal operation of a bio-diesel plant in village Atun, Bhilwada district, Rajasthan, 15/07/2020
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Residents of Gram Panchayat Atun, Bhilwada Vs State of Rajasthan dated 15/07/2020. A factual and action taken report was filed by the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board with reference to the allegation of illegal operation of Washwell Bio-diesel Plant, Chittor Road, Village Atun, District Bhilwada Rajasthan without NOC causing pollution affecting the inhabitants of the area.
The report stated that a closure direction was issued against the unit in question. The NGT directed that the closure direction should continue till compliance and compensation recovered to be assessed as per applicable norms.
