6th periodical report of Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) regarding Patancheru pollution dated 24/11/2020. The TSPCB stated that as per the directions of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), all the 17 categories of highly polluting industries were directed to install Online Pollution Monitoring Systems for their ETPs and the data to be connected to TSPCB and CPCB servers.

All the effluent carrying tankers were enforced to have GPS tracking devices and are connected to SPCBs GPS tracking system to avoid illegal dumping.

With respect to restriction of extraction of ground water by industrial units and framing of appropriate guidelines by the government - the Irrigation and CAD (MI) Department, Telangana vide memo dated March 3, 2018 has framed guidelines for extraction of ground water by industrial units. The industries must fully treat, recycle and reuse the waste water generated. The solid waste generated should be sent to a solid waste disposal plant at Dindigal. Further, the industries should minimize the usage of groundwater by adopting proper treatment and reuse practices.
