The reports filed by the Special Team reveal illegal mining in 21 out of 34 mining leases granted to V. V. Mineral in three districts. It was estimated that a total quantum of 39,75,695 M.T. of raw sand (RoM) was illegally mined and transported from the three districts of Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Kanniyakumari.
