Factual status cum action taken report of Phakoliya granite cluster area, district Bhilwara. As directed by the National Green Tribunal, a joint team of officials from the District Revenue Department, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), Bhilwara and Department of Mining & Geology, Bhilwara, jointly visited the Phakoliya granite cluster area on November 10, 2020.
The complaint was that the area was grazing land, however the inspected area was mentioned as banjad (barren land) in the revenue records. Further, according to the application filed before the NGT, there were 9 mines, which were located on the banks of Khari river, which could result in ecological imbalance. However, the joint committee report stated that mining activity has not yet started in the Phakoliya Granite Cluster Khasra No. 41/1 and 41/3. Environmental Clearance has been issued to 7 plots by the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Jaipur.
