Air quality monitoring data for analysis of the pace and intensity of the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread in Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans
The pace and intensity of the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread is potentially influenced by many factors, including air pollution. Studies have suggested that air pollution increases the incidence and the severity of the disease. However, the current data are too limited to be certain. Analysis of the air quality data from the Central Europe and Balkans which fits in the framework of the current global challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, shows unique data correlations and provides a specific input for the strategy planning processes and policy making.
