Meghalaya Minor Minerals Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2022
The Government of Meghalaya on July 4, 2022 has issued Meghalaya Minor Minerals Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2022 to further amend the Meghalaya Minor Minerals Concession Rules, 2016. This has come into force on July 4, 2022. The following has been amended namely: Rule 4 which states “Restriction on the grant of mining lease and quarry permit” the following proviso has been inserted namely: “Provided that above mentioned restrictions shall not apply to river bed sand mining and river bed mining”.
