Rs. 5,00,00,000 (rupees five crores) will be deposited on or before March 31, 2023.

As directed by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), August 13, 2021 construction work for the development of alternate water body is in progress and is being monitored by the committee appointed by the National Green Tribunal. HMWSSB informed the court that the entire project is likely to be completed by October 31, 2023.

HMWSSB was directed to file the progress report along with the affidavit and the committee nominated by the NGT has been asked to file the status report by the first week of November, 2023.

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board was found to have built a sewage treatment plant (STP) within the area of Lingam Kunta tank, which is a fresh water tank in Rangareddy district. HMWSSB was directed by the NGT, August 13, 2021 to "create an alternate water body having twice the extent occupied by the Sewage Treatment Plant in the river basin of that area to provide another water resource facility on compensatory principle of substituting the loss of area of water body in another area".
