Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding mismanagement of solid waste dump site near a school, Fatehabad, Haryana, 27/04/2023
Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushil Kumar Vs State of Haryana dated 27/04/2023. Grievance in the application is against failure of the Municipal Council, Fatehabad, Haryana and other concerned authorities to manage solid waste dump site behind DAV School on Bighar Road, district Fatehabad, Haryana. It is stated that such failure is resulting in damage to the environment and public health. Waste includes garbage generated in meat markets.
The NGT directed the Haryana State Pollution Control Board and the District Magistrate, Fatehabad to look into the matter and take remedial action following due process of law.
