Achieving a just transition in the energy system
Developed collectively by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the Council for Inclusive Capitalism and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) this report represents a compilation of insights and case studies to support energy companies in their efforts to advance a just transition to a net-zero carbon energy system. The report leverages the Just Transition Framework for Company Action, developed by the Council for Inclusive Capitalism and its network of partners, as a tool to explore emerging practice and learnings across key areas of business action when it comes to advancing robust just transition strategies. It highlights key insights and practices that have surfaced from conversations with leading WBCSD members from across the energy system and presents a series of real-world case studies from leading companies.
