National Electricity Plan Notification (Amendment) Rules, 2023
The Ministry of Power has notified the National Electricity Plan Notification (Amendment) Rules, 2023. These Rules were notified on 30th June, 2023 and come into effect from that same date. The rules amend the existing National Electricity Plan Notification Rules, 2004. The key amendment is related to Rule 3, which governs the notification of the draft National Electricity Plan. The amended rule also extends the period for submitting suggestions and objections to sixty days from the date of publication of the draft plan. This provides stakeholders with ample time to thoroughly review the plan and contribute their valuable insights.
