Animal Welfare Board of India should give practical suggestions to Himachal Pradesh to control monkey and stray dog menace, 31/08/2023
Himachal Pradesh High Court, August 31, 2023 directed the Animal Welfare Board of India under the control of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying) to give practical suggestions to Himachal Pradesh regarding control of the monkey menace and also the stray dogs menace because these two have been lingering on in the state for long and causing hardships to the people.
Advocate General assured that the state and Municipal Corporation, Shimla shall consult with the Agriculture University, Palampur, which has a veterinary branch and inputs for controlling the monkey menace and the stray dogs menace will be taken from them also. The HC directed that the report of Municipal Corporation, Shimla should be supplied to all other counsel.
