Strengthening disaster resilience and accelerating implementation of Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction in Central Asia 2019-2023 : final report
The “Strengthening Disaster Resilience and Accelerating Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction in Central Asia” initiative was funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction over the period 2019 - 2023. The project supported building the foundations for greater resilience in Central Asia through enhanced data, capacity, governance, and cooperation at local, urban, regional, and national levels in five countries: the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The initiative formed the first component of the wider EU-funded “Strengthening Financial Resilience and Accelerating Risk Reduction in Central Asia Program”, which was implemented in partnership with the World Bank and Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery.
