Delhi Jal Board report on sewage treatment plants, 08/05/2025
Additional status report by the Delhi Jal Board in the matter of News item titled "Why 75% of Delhi's STPs aren't ready to tackle Yamuna stink" appearing in the Times of India dated 19/02/2024. The Delhi Jal Board report was in compliance with the NGT order, November 22, 2024.
DJB has a total of 37 sewage treatment plants (STPs) in NCT of Delhi. Furthermore, out of 37 STPs, 25 STPs are meeting all the prescribed standards and running on full utilization. The data updated by the DJB on its website, gets continuously monitored by the DPCC.
In the application, the tribunal was examining the issue of improper performance of STPs installed by the DJB along the river Yamuna.
