Winds of change
Wind power is constantly emerging as a preferred source of energy the world over. Fast forward by another couple of decades and wind power is predicted to meet 10 per cent of the world's electricity requirements even if consumption increases by double the current rate. Pollution free and never likely to fall short, wind energy has been most successfully promoted in Europe, particularly Denmark, Germany and Spain. Besides Europe, the world's wind resources are immense and distributed over almost all regions across the globe. Better still, wind power is also among the cheapest of renewable energy sources.
