Centre for Science and Environment is organising a one day conference on Solar Power policy - the issues and way forward for large-scale deployment of solar energy in India on Friday, June 29 at the Magnolia Hall, Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The conference will deliberate on the progress made and roadblocks to achieving the ambitious goals of India’s national solar mission, along with state solar policies and other programmes such as the Remote Village Electrification Programme. The Centre for Science and Environment is coming out with two in-depth reports on issues of concern for solar energy sector in India. The reports are split into 'Off-grid' and 'Grid-connected' solar power.

We are inviting leading experts and institutions to the conference including: NGOs, implementing agencies, private entrepreneurs, state-level implementers, researchers and policy makers for a conference to chart an accountable, participatory and efficient path for solar energy sector in the country.
