The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Bill, 2010
This draft MMDR bill approved by Group of Minister headed by finance minister Pranab Mukherjee recommends that coal miners should share 26% profit with locals & there should be 100% royalty sharing with locals for non-coal miners.
A bill to consolidate and amend the law relating to the scientific development and regulation of mines and minerals under the control of the Union.
