Bangladesh allows Tripura to use water from Feni River

Agartala, Feb 9: Bangladesh has finally agreed to allow Tripura to use the water of Feni River and decided that a joint survey for setting up water treatment plant in the southern Tripura town of Sabroom would be carried out on February 12.

Indo-Bangla meet on river water sharing today

A ten-member delegation of Bangladesh will arrive Sarboom in South district on Monday to inspect the proposed water treatment plant at Anandapara, 6 km from Sabroom town.

The 6.5-lakh-gallon water treatment plant, which was mulled six to seven years back, could not be implemented due to opposition from the Bangladesh Rifles(BDR).
