Industrial waste set on fire at Dabolim
Some persons played mischief by setting up industrial waste on fire behind Naval Auditorium Rajhans-Dabolim, Vasco, on Sunday afternoon. Panic gripped the residents of the area, when huge smoke erupted and soon the industrial waste slowly and steadily engulfed the dry grass. Vasco fire brigade personnel rushed to the site and extinguished the fire from spreading further.

Environment secy pays fine in mining matter

Temporary shed will not prevent dust pollution in Curchorem: SWR
There seems to be no immediate solution to dust pollution caused primarily due to loading and unloading of mining ore at Curchorem Railway Yard (CRY). The South Western Railways (SWR) in its affidavit filed before the Bombay High Court at Goa has stated that construction of a temporary shed at CRY will not prevent dust pollution in the area.
