Goa to get compensatory afforestation funds
The first installment of funds under the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) will be disbursed to eight states in the country, including Goa, on Tuesday. Other states that have opened their CAMPA accounts include Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Sikkim, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Assam.

No reconsidering decision to amend Panchayat Act: CM
Chief Minister, Digambar Kamat has ruled out reconsideration of the government decision to amend the Goa Panchayat Raj Act empowering the panchayat secretaries. Pirna locals protest proposed mining activities
Residents of Pirna and Nadora in Bardez taluka on Sunday strongly protested against the proposed mining activities in the area.
