A practical study for uninterrupted power supply to western Orissa

This paper describes a practical study for obtaining UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) to the limited load centers of western Orissa. With the available distribution network scheme, system equipment and co-ordination among them by the utilization of few innovative concepts, an attempt has been established to develop the scheme of un-interrupted supply scheme to the limited load centers of western Orissa. Particularly the concepts like use of Nodal Transformers (NTR), Load Accessed Directional Relays (LADR) and Fault Free Auto closing of breaker scheme have been considered as the special innovative ideas and been emphasized for developing this study.
