Diarrhoea and effects of different water sources, sanitation and hygiene behaviour in a rural area of western Rajasthan

A rural area of western Rajasthan was surveyed for diarrhoeal disease. The objective of this study was to carry out analysis of domestic water use and environmental health. The factors like amount of water collected, water use in the home, household, socio-demographic characteristics, prevalence of diarrhoea, state and use of latrines sources of water and conditions of use, sanitary conditions after and before food preparation and eating, etc were observed.
