A field experiment was conducted at Agronomy farm, S. K. N. College of Agriculture, Jobner to study the effect of compaction on bulk density, hydraulic conductivity and moisture content of soil during kharif seasons of the year 2002 and 2003. The experiment was consisting of three levels of compaction 0, 2 and 4 passing of 500 kg iron roller increase the bulk density and moisture retention at all stages and decreased saturated hydraulic conductivity of soil having maximum values in 15-30 m soil layer.
