Water quality of river Mandakini was assessed from Sati Anusuya to Karwi. Altogether 4 samples were collected from each sampling station and 5 sampling stations were selected for analysis. The quality analysis was made through the estimation of temperature, turbidity, DO, pH, EC, TDS, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulphate, nitrate and phosphate. The water quality of river Mandakini get degraded with respect to some of the analyzed parameters as it proceeds towards Karwi. Calcium and magnesium were dominating cations and bicarbonate and carbonate anions were found dominating in river water.
