Linkages between different sectors and segments of an economy keep changing with the progress of economy. In the early stage of growth, agriculture was found to play central role in development of rural non-farm sector and non-agricultural sectors in developing countries through supply of raw material, release of surplus labour and demand for industrial products as input in agriculture and as consumer goods by farming population.
