A boriginal people in Western Australia and the mining giant, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), are involved in a tit for tat for controlling land in the Australian state.

The latest salvo in the two-month battle is the use of videos.

The mining company wants access to land in Pilbara for its Solomon Hub project, which promises decades of iron ore production. But the Yindjibarndi people, the area’s traditional residents, are split, with some saying Fortescue’s offer is too low.

The video posted by the aboriginals, FMG’s Great Native Title Swindle, shows anger and confrontation. “This process is a joke,” one protester in the video says. FMG’s video contests the allegations.

It has an Aboriginal saying FMG has offered education and jobs and people want to block all that “for what, heaps of money?”
