The target of planting about 10 lakh saplings in the district in the coming monsoon season may not be difficult to achieve but what is doubtful is their survival. Owing to the lack of proper care, the survival rate of sapling, planted on earlier occasions, has been very poor so far. The Faridabad district administration recently announced that a total of 10 lakh saplings would be planted in the monsoon season this year with each of the major departments planting at least 50,000 saplings in two to three months.
