The state government has given sanction to construct 1000 check dams in Bhanvad taluka of the district. This was stated by Minister of State for Revenue Mulubhai Bera. The minister said that check dams will cover 7,346 hectares of land at Barda hills at an estimated cost of Rs two crores.
