Mr. S. Karuthiah Pandian, District Collector, said that 1000 hectares of wasteland would be developed in Erode district at cost of Rs. 47 lakhs. He said there were hundreds of hectares of wasteland in the district.The Chief Minister had announced that 10,000 hectares of wasteland would be developed this year in the state, of which 1000 hectares would be in Erode district.
