15 state high-ways of 1080 km to be constructed

Improving road Communication in Madhya Pradesh is one of the top priorities of State Government. In this connection, third installment of around Rs. 1350 crore of loan amount has been sanctioned by the Asian Development Bank for the development of 15 state highways of 1080 kilometers length. The State Government will provide around Rs. 338 crore as project cost.
For the construction of the roads, two separate papers of agreements were signed in New Delhi on Wednesday. Joint Secretary Venu Rajamani on behalf of Government of India and Prodyut Dutt of A.D.B signed the agreement for procuring loan from Asian Development Bank., Prodyut Dutt of A.D.B and Principal Secretary Public Works Department K.K. Singh and Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Vivek Agrawal inked the paper of project agreement.
A total 15 roads of 1080 kilometers which will be constructed with this third installment include: Bhind-Ater-Porsa 60.85 km road, Mihona-Lahar-Daboh-Bhander-Chirgaon 85.70 km road, Pichhor-Chanderi-Mungawali-Ondar-Kurwai 146.50 km road, Manawar-Mangod (Bandheri) 49.63 km and Sardarpur-Rajgarh-Bagh 50.43 km road. Similarly, Agar-Barod-Alot-Jawra 108.70 km road, Pachor-Chhapiheda-Jirapur-Machalpur-Soyat 86.70 km road, Badi-Baktara-Dobi-Shahganj-Budhni 58.78 km road, Silwani-Udayapura 28.58 km road and 47.78 kilometer road between Rahatgarh-Khurai-Khimlasa will be constructed with the loan of A.D.B. Besides, the constructions of Damoh-Hata-Gaisabad-Semaria 62.66 km road, Hata-Patera-Kumhari and Rajpura-Salaiya-Bahoriband-Sehora 91.28 road, Amarpatan-Gorsari-Badera 46.50 km road, Sundra-Singpur-Kothi-Jaitwara-Birsinghpur-Semaria 85.29 km road and Sidhi-Byohari state highway of 71.29 kilometer will also be done through the loan of A.D.B. In order to execute the works of these 15 state highways in thirteen packages, exercises are being made to invite tenders.
